Exceptional care is never the work of one person. It takes a dedicated team of caregivers, support staff, volunteers, families, and community members working together to create a place our residents proudly call home.

As we enter a season filled with opportunities to celebrate and recognize the people who make our mission possible, we are honored to highlight several special events that remind us of the heart behind healthcare.

National Assisted Living Week

“Shining Through the Years”

National Assisted Living Week is a time to celebrate the vibrant lives, meaningful relationships, and compassionate care found within assisted living communities across the country.

At MCHS, our assisted living residents bring stories, wisdom, laughter, and a sense of community that enriches the lives of everyone around them. This week provides an opportunity to recognize not only our residents but also the dedicated team members who support their independence, dignity, and quality of life every day.

Throughout the week, we’ll be planning special activities and opportunities for residents, families, and staff to come together in celebration.

Environmental Services Week

September 13-19

While many people immediately think of doctors, nurses, and caregivers when they think of healthcare, Environmental Services professionals play a vital role in resident health and safety.

Our housekeeping and environmental services teams work tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain clean, comfortable, and welcoming spaces throughout MCHS. Their attention to detail helps prevent infections, supports resident well-being, and creates the warm environment families experience when they walk through our doors.

During Environmental Services Week, we extend our sincere gratitude to these essential team members whose contributions often happen quietly but have an enormous impact every single day.

Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week

October 4-10

Food does far more than nourish the body. It brings comfort, creates connections, and often becomes one of the highlights of a resident’s day.

Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week allows us to recognize the talented dietary and foodservice professionals who prepare nutritious meals and accommodate individual preferences and dietary needs with care and compassion.

From planning menus to preparing meals and serving residents with a smile, our foodservice team helps create positive dining experiences that support health, wellness, and enjoyment. We are grateful for their commitment and dedication to those we serve.

Looking Ahead: Give to the Max Day

Find MCHS Give to the Max Day page here!

As we celebrate the people who make MCHS special, we are also looking ahead to another important opportunity: Give to the Max Day.

This annual day of giving is a chance for community members, families, residents, staff, and friends to support the programs, services, and enhancements that enrich life at MCHS. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us continue providing compassionate care and meaningful opportunities for those we serve.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share more information about how you can participate and make a difference through Give to the Max Day.
